Jack J. Sibard, Mission to Crete
The 2nd volume in the series Testimonials series περιλαμβάνει τις αναμνήσεις του Jack Sibard, ο οποίος ως εκπαιδευμένος αλεξιπτωτιστής συμμετείχε σε επιτυχημένο σαμποτάζ της SAS στο αεροδρόμιο Ηρακλείου (13-14 Ιουνίου 1942). Επιπλέον περιγράφονται από τον ίδιο η ιστορία της αποστολής στην Κρήτη, της διαφυγής, της αιχμαλωσίας, καθώς και του εγκλεισμού του σε στρατόπεδο της Γερμανίας.

[…] A non-commissioned officer enters my cell and orders me to get ready. I leave my torn shoes, which would simply prevent me from walking or running and would act as a brake in case I had an opportunity to escape. It is 4 pm. We have been prisoners for less than 24 hours, but it seems like an eternity. The imminent end of our lives has kept us awake.
